Workshops
Interested in leading a class? Hosting a poetry workshop or zine-making night? Our workshop space is the spot for you!
All workshop proposals go through Buckman and will take place in the back room of the building (fondly referred to as “Sidecar”), which is outfitted with tables & chairs. This part of PALS is set up for writing & art making and is rented at an hourly rate. Details include:
Cost is sliding scale $20-$40 (USD) per hour.
Room capacity is approximately 15 people (including instructor).
Aim for at least six weeks between submitting your pitch and the date of the workshop. We need at least one month to get the word out. As much lead time as possible is always appreciated!
Sidecar is a new endeavor so we expect to learn and finesse processes as we go.
Monthly meet-ups, ongoing workshops or classes with multiple meetings, and one-offs are all more than welcome. We aim to keep the hourly rate affordable so folks can set their own class sizes, curricula, and tuition prices. We know this city is chock-full of creative facilitators and community-makers and we look forward to seeing what ideas y’all come up with to put this space to good use!
